The Faculty of Management Science and Informatics at the University of Žilina invites students, PhD candidates, researchers, and industry professionals to participate in the Machine Learning Summer School @UNIZA, which will take place from 14 to 18 September 2026.
This five-day summer school will focus on modern machine learning and deep learning methods and their practical application to real-world problems. The program will combine expert lectures with hands-on workshops delivered by specialists from both academia and industry.
The main thematic areas will include applications of deep learning in natural language processing (NLP), transportation, energy, cybersecurity, medicine, computer vision, and other domains.
The summer school is intended for participants who already have at least a basic knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, and Python.

The Summer School builds on the research activities of the project "Research and Development of Advanced Artificial Intelligence Solutions for the Detection of Cyber Threats and Defense Against Sophisticated Attacks", which aims to develop advanced artificial intelligence solutions for the detection of cyber threats. Participants will gain insight into modern machine learning methods and their practical applications in areas that represent the project's main research topics.
